π± Is "Tree Okra" the Secret to Infinite Harvests? Watch the Explosion of Growth! In today’s garden tour update, we are looking at a fascinating experiment that has taken my container garden by storm. I recently purchased seeds labeled "Tree Okra," and honestly, I wasn't sure if it was just a marketing gimmick or a real variety. Well, the results are in, and they are unlike anything I have seen in previous years! πΏ Want to Supercharge Your Garden? πΏ Turn your balcony into a food forest just like this! π π± The Best Seeds: Want to try growing Tree Okra yourself? Usually, okra plants grow as a single, tall stem with pods appearing at the nodes. However, this year is different. As you will see in the footage, this particular plant is incredibly productive and is branching out aggressively from all sides. It’s not just growing up; it’s growing out. Key Observations from the Garden: Massive Branching: Unlike standard varieties, this plant is developing strong side branches. Productivity: It is producing pods not just on the main stem, but on these new side shoots as well. Some of these side pods are already as big as the ones on the main stalk!. Sudden Growth Spurts: I discovered a "sudden spurt of activity" at specific levels of the plant where a lot of growth is happening all at once. If you are limited on space or growing in pots (like I am using), finding a high-yield variety like this is the Holy Grail of urban gardening. I have never seen this degree of side-branching in my previous years of growing okra. Why Grow Okra? Okra (Bhindi) is a heat-loving plant that thrives in summer. It is rich in Vitamin A and C and is a staple in many cuisines. Getting a variety that behaves like a "tree" means you get double or triple the harvest from the same square footage of soil.
